Solid State Radio is a locally owned and operated online radio station broadcasting from the heart of downtown Lapeer. We stream online 24/7 with a variety of talk and alternative music programming, with news updates on the hour in morning and afternoon drive time during the week.
Our talk shows include The Armchair Athletes, a sports/pop culture/comedy show in afternoon drive; the Lapeer Main Street Hour, all about the fun events in the city we call home; and Digital Distortion, a weekly pop culture/comedy show.
Our music philosophy is pretty simple: the best new music first from your favorite alternative rock artists, with a few surprises along the way, and plenty of killer local music in the mix. We're 100% locally owned and operated; everything we play is programmed right here in Lapeer by people who care about the music.
The result is something uniquely our own, and the perfect alternative to boring corporate radio.
